Today, on Peace Day, we introduce to you a remarkable global initiative, PIP - 'Peace Is Possible,' born from the collaborative spirit of PIP GIVING and UNESCO's primary peace program, The Biennale Of Luanda. This initiative is a beacon of hope, a promise of a brighter future, and an opportunity for all of us to make a profound impact. This year, our focus is crystal clear: 'Protect and Provide for the children of war.' Millions of innocent lives have been shattered by armed conflict, leaving them with scars both seen and unseen. Our mission, from Peace Day 2023 to Peace Day 2024, is to stand by these children, to shield them from the horrors of war, and to provide them with the love, care, and education they so rightfully deserve.
Your contribution can be the lifeline these children desperately need. From preventing the recruitment of child soldiers to rehabilitating those already exploited, from delivering emergency education in refugee camps to supplying vital resources, including prosthetic limbs for amputees in Ukraine, we are committed to leaving no child behind in the pursuit of peace.
We also aim to empower the next generation of peacebuilders by supporting youth peace initiatives through seed funding and recognizing their efforts with the newly established Biennale Youth Peace Prize. Moreover, we aspire to unite the world in celebration of peace through an annual global peace day event, held in different World Heritage Sites each year.
